At the 2011 Making Strides Walk, Drs. Randall Feingold, Ron Israeli, and Peter Korn get together with patients and their families in support of breast cancer survivors. Strong patient advocates and long-time breast reconstructive specialists, the doctors at Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, PC are dedicated to providing outstanding treatment and assistance to the community. Participants walked, sang, and danced for breast cancer awareness.
Dr. Feingold: Good morning. I'm Dr. Randall Feingold and welcome back to Jones Beach. This is October 2011 for the Making Strides walk, along with my partners Dr. Ron Israeli and Dr. Peter Korn. We're here to celebrate this great occasion with all of our patients, their families, their friends and our staff. Why do we do this?
Well, we're Long Island's first and largest center of excellence in breast reconstruction. We offer state-of-the-art surgery for our patients. We're strong patient advocates. We have a unique patient empowerment program that gives pre-operative stress relaxation and post-operative support to our patients which is singular in its type in this part of the country. But most importantly, we're here to celebrate the positive energy that comes from the great relationships that form between us, our staff and our patients, as we take them through a very stressful time in their lives and lead them to an emotional and very satisfying outcome.
Mollie Sugarman: It's another day of strength, renewal and hope, and really taking a new assessment on life and moving forward.
Woman 1: This year, we have our green sweatshirts. And see? our breastreconstruction.org. Love being here, patients love being here, doctors are terrific.
Dr. Korn: It's every year a very memorable event and patients are coming in, and family and friends, and the sun is coming out, and everybody is in great spirits.
Dr. Israeli: As usual, we have a few hundred of our patients with us today. What's different this year is we have a couple of patients that are going to be singing as part of the event . . .
Woman 2: And here I am. I'm walking for my aunt, my cousin and my friend, Jane.
Woman 3: Dr. Israeli's patient, the guy with the magic hands.
Woman 4: Wonderful to be here with my boobies by Feingold. And everybody is so fabulous there, too. I love them all.
Woman 5: We're singing for you, guys. We're singing for everybody. We're singing for all the women who have breast cancer, and men, and moms, and sisters, and daughters, and everybody, so it's going to be great.
Woman 6: We are walking for all of us. We're walking for breast cancer. We're walking to help stop breast cancer, and we're walking for the best doctors in the world.
