There's nothing more meaningful than feedback from the spouses who participate in the Men's Breakfast Meeting. I am delighted to share an email I received from a participant following the last group. He has been attending for over a year and contributes significantly to the meetings:
"One of my favorite take aways from the Men’s Breakfast Meeting is from a fellow whose wife is battling her 4th bout with cancer. He said: 'Imagine looking in the rear view mirror of the car at where you started this journey and how far you have travelled . Don’t focus on what lies ahead, rather, focus on how far you have gone!' To that I say, Amen!! I would only suggest to the guys that they try to celebrate each accomplishment, regardless how small...Whether it is post op, or chemo, radiation, or periodic visits to the doctors’ offices whatever. None of these events are minor and deserve something out of the ordinary for the patient and the support person."
