Dr. Ron Israeli is a plastic surgeon practicing in Great Neck, New York since 1997. Dr. Israeli is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is regarded as a leading specialist in post-mastectomy breast reconstruction, providing an individualized approach for every patient. Dr. Israeli has experience with a comprehensive array of state-of-the-art techniques in breast reconstruction. He offers abdominal microvascular free flap options including DIEP, SIEA and free TRAM flaps. He is currently one of a small handful of practitioners nationwide that serve as clinical investigator for the LifeCell Corporation, pioneering the use of AlloDerm and Strattice in tissue expander and implant breast reconstruction, including the direct-to-implant or one-step approach. Dr. Israeli also took part as an investigator in the national Adjunct Study that resulted in FDA approval of the newest generation of silicone gel implants. In addition to breast reconstruction, Dr. Israeli performs innovative techniques in cosmetic breast and body contouring.

Dr. Israeli completed his plastic surgery residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard Medical School, and his surgery residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Boston University’s six-year combined liberal arts-medical education program. Dr. Israeli is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the New York Regional Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Israeli applies his skills and talent as an artist in his work as a plastic surgeon. He has studied classical European sculpture techniques at the studios of the Nassau County Museum of Art. His continued interest in his art allows Dr. Israeli to maintain his aesthetic eye when he performs plastic surgery.

Dr. Israeli practices at North Shore University Hospitals at Manhasset, Huntington, and Syosset as well as Long Island Jewish Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital, and Winthrop University Hospital. He performs cosmetic surgery in our new state-of-the-art office operatory, as well as in ambulatory surgical centers.
