Dr. Peter Korn is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and relocated his plastic surgery practice to Great Neck from Westchester, New York in 2008. He was Assistant Professor of Surgery at the New York Medical College, and the Chief of the Microsurgery and Replantation Service at the Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Korn is dedicated to providing comprehensive care in both reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. Dr. Korn is experienced in advanced microsurgery techniques, including DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) flap breast reconstruction. He performs innovative facial aesthetic surgical procedures, such as transconjunctival blepharoplasty and the MACS (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension) facelift, both of which provide effective and natural appearing facial rejuvenation. Dr. Korn is also experienced in body and breast contouring procedures, including silicone gel breast augmentation

      Born and raised in Munich, Germany, Dr. Korn received his doctorate degree at the prestigious University of Vienna. Being recognized for exceptional academic achievements, Dr. Korn was offered to pursue his training in Surgery at the Cornell University / New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He subsequently completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at the combined program of Cornell and Columbia Universities. Furthermore, he gained expertise at world renowned centers, such as the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, as well as the University Hospital Gent in Belgium.

      Dr. Korn is a candidate-member of professional societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He has authored multiple articles in leading surgical journals and has presented his work at numerous conferences. While at Cornell, he was the honorary recipient of the Dicran Goulian Award for Academic Excellence. Dr. Korn is also an accomplished concert-level flutist and pianist. He studied at the conservatories in Hamburg and Vienna and has performed in numerous concerts.

      Dr. Korn performs aesthetic outpatient surgery in our new state-of-the-art office operatory as well as ambulatory surgical centers. Dr. Korn also practices at North Shore University Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Winthrop University Hospital, and St. Francis Hospital.
